Gear progression includes armors, weapons, and amulets that you can upgrade, repair, and replace as you push into harder content. The loot drop rates are notoriously low according to player feedback, which adds grind but also frustration.

The multiplayer side supports both co-op and PvP. You can join clans, team up for dungeon raids in areas like the Black Dungeon and Shadow of Black Desert, or fight other players in arena-style PvP battles. The game pulls in an international community with multilingual support.

The main complaints revolve around repetitive mission design, movement controls that sometimes lock your direction and throw you into enemy groups, and performance issues causing stuttering and lag on some devices. The NPC dialogue and quest text is also extremely small with no option to resize it, making the storyline hard to follow.
