DESCRIPTION
Hempire is a marijuana empire building simulator where you grow cannabis plants, create products, and expand your business. You start with a small grow operation planting classic strains like Northern Lights, Hindu Kush, Jack Herer, Chemdawg, and Sour Diesel, breeding them in the lab to create hybrids with higher yields and different properties. Each strain has specific characteristics—Indica for relaxation, Sativa for energy, or hybrid combinations. You upgrade growing equipment like lights, generators, and irrigation systems to boost production efficiency.
The game follows a story-driven narrative where you make deals with locals, handle corrupt cops and shady businessmen, and help characters ranging from criminals to old ladies baking brownies. You craft marijuana products including hash, kief, shatter, rosin, oils, and CBD/THC-infused edibles like cookies and brownies. These products sell in your dispensary generating cash you reinvest into local businesses and real estate to develop your city. The town starts rundown and you renovate buildings, fix streets, and clean up the environment while unlocking decorations and special 420-themed items. The Train Depot lets you fill orders and ship products on schedules, while the Hempire Cup provides competitive multiplayer where you breed custom strains to climb leaderboards against other players.
Core progression involves tapping on benches and environmental objects to gather crafting materials like nails, cement, and wood needed for construction upgrades. The drop rates for specific materials are terrible—you’ll get thirty of everything except the one item you actually need, forcing you to wait days grinding for enough cement or nails to progress. The loot crate system using keys is rigged—out of sixty spins, only five give special items you can’t buy normally, meaning you’re constantly “winning” bushes and trees available in the shop. It slows the game to a frustrating crawl where repair costs drain your wallet without providing the materials to actually build anything.
