In Fair Spirits is a boys love visual novel spin off from The Fairy’s Song series. Story follows Edmund who lived in medieval England during warring factions era with his father and younger sister Leofe. Edmund deeply wanted to protect his sister but despite his efforts their relationship fell apart. Nearly thousand years later Edmund gets reincarnated in the small English village of Fenchapel still carrying complicated feelings about his sister who died centuries ago.

In his new life Edmund meets Abel a cheerful young man with mischievous personality. Initially talking with Abel helps Edmund process his past trauma and move forward from the guilt he still carries. However as their relationship develops Abel’s happy facade starts cracking revealing there’s much more to him than his smiling exterior suggests. Edmund begins seeing Abel in completely different light as deeper truths come out about who Abel really is and what he’s been hiding.

The visual novel contains eighty five thousand words taking approximately four to six hours to read through. Story completely linear with no choices or branching paths just follows Edmund and Abel’s relationship from beginning to end. Features two main male characters with sprite and CG artwork, original soundtrack, lots of emotional heart to heart conversations between the leads. Story gets emotionally heavy with sad crying boys dealing with past trauma and complicated feelings but ultimately ends on happy note with satisfying conclusion.
