DESCRIPTION
Jurassic World Alive brings dinosaurs into your real world through augmented reality and location-based gameplay. Walk around your neighborhood and use your phone’s camera to find dinosaurs roaming in actual locations—T-Rex might show up at your local park, Velociraptor near the coffee shop. You collect DNA samples using a drone mechanic where you shoot darts at the dinosaur, then use that DNA to level up creatures or create hybrid species in the lab. The game features turn-based PvP battles where you assemble a team of four dinosaurs and fight other players in real-time. Strategy matters through creature stats, move sets, speed mechanics, and type advantages.
Supply drops scattered across the map provide coins, darts, and other resources. Alliance features let you team up with other players to complete missions and share rewards. The sanctuary system lets you interact with your dinosaurs between battles. Regular updates bring new species and monthly events keep things fresh. Unlike many mobile games, you can genuinely play completely free without hitting aggressive paywalls—leveling up, collecting rare dinosaurs, and competing in PvP matches doesn’t force purchases.
However, technical problems plague the experience. Maps frequently load blank with nothing appearing, making the core collection mechanic unplayable. The game crashes randomly or freezes during battles. Support responses are slow and unhelpful, giving generic answers without fixing actual issues. The monthly VIP subscription at ten dollars provides fewer benefits with each update. Recent changes increasingly favor paying players, with casual players hitting progression walls. The matchmaking system shows suspicious AI behavior where opponents get impossibly high critical hit rates despite listed five percent chances. Players report accidentally exiting the app causes complete battle restarts with AI taking control of their team.
